QUILTING
One of the warmest ways to reach out with the love of God for our neighbors is with a handmade quilt! The quilters of Saint James Lutheran Church work to create quilts which will be distributed to those in need. Some of the quilts are sold to generate funds which support this and other ministries both locally and globally.
The quilts represent countless hours of work by a team of caring individuals. This year, our quilt ministry created dozens and dozens of beautiful quilts. Some were given to our local Belle Fourche police department for children in need. Quilts were donated to Lutheran Social Services and distributed to the Intervention program and to Canyon Hills in Spearfish. Whether near or far, the people who receive a quilt created by the quilters of Saint James Lutheran Church are warmed in body and heart by this gift.
You don’t have to be an expert in
